Last week's guest speaker was Anuya Velpanur from Primary Ethics, a not for profit organization and the sole approved provider of ethics classes in NSW.
It is a secular alternative in the scripture/non-scripture time slot.  Parents choose from available options at the school and they can choose to enrol their children in ethics.

In an ethics class children learn to:

¨ Remain curious and open minded

¨ Voice opinions & give reasons

¨ Listen to others

¨ Build on each others’ ideas

¨ Disagree respectfully

¨ Not to accept peer pressure

¨ To think things through

¨ Make well reasoned decisions

In public primary schools across NSW there are almost 3000 volunteer ethics teachers, ethics coordinators and regional managers, teaching close to 25,000 children in about 500 schools.

Age-appropriate, engaging curriculum is developed by Philosophy experts and approved by the Department of Education for children in K-6-in the form of stories, scenarios, poems, activities and more!
